Arts Politics and Sex
This salon is a vehicle, a platform - it is an instrument for engaging with others - socially, politically and creatively. It is aimed at those who feel that, in these times and within the society we live, it is important to respond
to the urgent need to meet and interact with others; for those who feel that it is important not to close ourselves off in little discrete communities, but to reach out for more rather than just 'surviving' our everyday existence. We need to support and be supported by others on many levels, in a climate and
culture that seems, more and more, to foster and maintain the opposite.
Art, Politics and Sex is a framework for those who feel this need.
People are invited to come along and engage on any level that they feel comfortable with (provided they are respectful to others) – whether presenting their own work, engaging with discussion, or just being present.
Please bring what is important to you , you work .
This salon was first initiated and organized by Franko B in 2003. Previous meetings have taken place at the Horse Hospital in London, The Live Art Development Agency, The National Review of Live Art, Glasgow, The Old Operating Theatre, Toynbee Studios, London, as well as at cafes and other venues in London, and across Europe.
This is the second salon in this series . thank you to every body that come to it ..
